More Isaac Artwork!

I really did get far behind...Here are some more from the winter, current, and even one from Sunday School (the smiley face)..

Pictures the Mommy loves!

There's not a lot of rhyme or reason to these...I just like them and thought I'd share!

Yard Work

For those who don't know us too well, we have an amazing marriage that does indeed mean a lot of teamwork!  So, in an effort to save some money and get some extra exercise, we bought his and hers lawn mowers...the old fashioned kind that don't run on anything but man power!  We managed to mow our nearly acre lawn in just over 3 hours with only 1 put together.  They are both now assembled and we finished the yard together this afternoon!  Here are some pics from the grand adventure!

and this is what Isaac looks like after about 2 hours out of doors on a 75 degree day. He's had at least 2 pints of water (maybe 4?) and been playing mostly in the shade...He is beat and ready for a nap...But not before he reads a book!

Measurements....

I am putting the kids' well-child measurements here, but other medical info is on the caring bridge page. Email me for that website and password!

Isaac measured in at a whopping 31.2 lbs, which is 31lbs 3 oz and a full 36 1/2 inches tall! He can officially ride roller coasters and I need to move the head rest on his carseat!

Esther measured in at a healthy 9lbs 1oz and 21 1/2 inches tall!  She is growing beautifully!

Esther Cuteness....

We can't leave out the princess...Here are some cute pics from the last day or so!

She was so hungry, so I had to pull her out of her pocket and let Grandma Joyce suffer through holding her, so she'd stay happy til we got home!  It worked :)

The beanbag chair is her unofficial throne!

The first time we dressed her in "real" clothes and not just pajamas! This was actually about a week ago, but I never posted the picture!

Isaac's Birthday....Round 3

We took Isaac to see Disney's new movie "Earth". It was wonderful and comes highly recommended.  After the movie, we went to Red Robin for dinner. Grandma Joyce surprised Isaac and came, too!!  It was a wonderful evening full of laughter and fun.  We are exhausted and will probably take a few days to recover from all of the "mountain climbing" before bed...sorry no pics of this fun!

Cole got Isaac these adorable horses for his birthday. Isaac LOVES them. He calls them his "Birthday Horses"

Even baby horses like chocolate milk!  Daddy skipped out of work early to have fun with Isaac on his birthday! What an awesome Daddy!

Apparently they are destined to be circus horses!

Here come the birthday singers!!  He was clapping along!

The Birthday Singers!

Isaac thought it was so cool to have someone bring him ice cream AND sing him a song!

Happy Birthday, Little Bear!!

I did mention naps were in order...Right?

We came home and crashed...Well, at least the kids did.. I am updating this instead of sleeping!

Not the greatest picture, but the start of a HUGE grin!  She's trying to convince me she doesn't need a nap...hmm...let's see what the other evidence shows!

Yep! That would be a very large, long yawn...She was asleep less than 5 minutes later!

Being goofy...Trying to convince me he wasn't tired...He was asleep in less than 5 minutes, too!

Nap prep snuggles from the baby sister!  Ahh..now we can all get some rest!

Isaac's Birthday...Round 2

We met Amanda, Cole, Jenny, Cephas, Moses, and Ariel at McDonald's for lunch to celebrate Isaac's birthday! The boys had a great time chasing one another and having wrestling matches in the playarea and even managed to eat a reasonable amount of lunch!  I didn't take as many pics as I had hoped because us gals were gabbing!!

If Cole had only smiled...

If only Isaac hadn't climbed in front of Moses...

yeah...I think that's as good as were gonna get!

This is a terrible picture of me, but I had both the girls asleep on my lap at once! I do love a good "pocket"!

Isaac's Birthday....Round 1

It's Isaac's birthday!!!  He is now officially a Big 3 year old and can tell you that, too! We are so proud of all he has done this last year. God has been our source of joy, peace, comfort, laughter, discipline, and even heartache sometimes over the last year.  But Isaac is a better boy for it!  The cakes are for his pre-school class today. We're planning another "family" party in May when people are back from mission trips.  We also took Isaac out to breakfast at Leo's (our favorite bfast joint), which was a special treat that Isaac definitely enjoyed.

Opening his present from the Great Grandparents in Virginia!  He immediately asked for crayons. They are sure to be enjoyed!!

The Cupcake Puzzle Cake.  It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, but it turned out okay for not having a formal plan in place. Isaac is sure to love it!  Basically, you put a bunch of cupcakes together and then frost them like they are one giant cake.  He needed 13 cupcakes, which I failed to manage, so the last picture is the 13th cupcake so that no one got left out!

Check back later today..Isaac has at least 2 more adventures today (and a nap to take), so you know ther is more to come!

Playing Catch Up...

When the old blog crashed, I got REALLY behind in posting Isaac's artwork from school..So here is his artwork from Valentine's to current!!

Princess Pics

Precious Princess Pictures...Enjoy!

The first smile caught on camera!!  Isn't she beautiful!

Isaac Funny...

Isaac REALLY wanted to go outside to play, but it was rainy and windy and pretty chilly. The obvious answer is "not today".  To make matters worse, I had taken off his shoes on the stairs and not put them in their spot on the shelf, so when he went to put his shoes on in defiance, he couldn't find them. This is what walked into my kitchen!

Sunny Day Excitement!

It is absolutely gorgeous here, so Isaac and Esther and I played outside for a bit before naptime...Isaac is so very cute.. This is the all Isaac post!

Birthday Bus Ride

Since Ryan is the bus geek, we decided a bus ride to lunch was in order. So off we went to catch Route 22 bus to Arborland to have Noodles for lunch!

Ryan's Birthday

Zeb, Isaac and I tag teamed making Uncle Ryan a birthday cake, since he was here on his birthday and all!! Here's some photo fun from the morning's adventure..

Easter

Ryan and Heather went to church with us, then went over to her grandparents' house for brunch. We carried on our Easter tradition and went out to lunch with Bert and Amanda and Cole and Josh (our new youth pastor).  Then the boys got to hunt for Easter eggs in our yard and played for a good while until naps became absolutely necessary!  It was a great way to spend the afternoon, although we definitely missed having the Auquiers around to share the fun..We definitely miss having them around for about 100 different reasons!

Please forgive the massive amount of pics on this post, but I couldn't resist..

She is definitely a very serious little girl...Just like her brother...

Pride family, you will kindly note that you are definitely related...His tongue is indeed sticking out while he tries to navigate this with only one hand!

Fun at the Zoo

Zeb and Uncle Ryan have friends who live in Sherwood, Ohio. While Ryan was here, they wanted to get together and do something fun. Gina and Gilbert have a remarkable family with some awesome grandkids, and so we decided a trip to the zoo was just what was needed!  I, of course, still being on "bed rest" rode in a wheelchair for the duration of our zoo adventure. Zeb and Gina were exhausted by the time the day was done.  Esther slept for most of her first trip to the zoo and Isaac had a ball with Gilbert and Gina's grandchildren!  I am purposely omitting their names for privacy purposes.

This was Princess Esther's throne for the day...tucked in her pocket and happy as can be!

Fun with Tante Sarah

We went to a fun indoor play place called Urban Toddler on Tante Sarah and Grandma's last day in Michigan.  Isaac loves to play there because there is a train table, puzzles, store center, home center, fire engine, workshop, HUGE chalkboard, musical instruments, and even a big fish tank!  Tante Sarah had fun playing with Isaac, while Mom rested (she managed a cold while she was here) and I made a valiant effort to be on "bed rest" a mile from home!  Enjoy the pics...

Thursday Fun...

Zeb's mom and sister are still here and loving the time they are spending with Isaac and Esther.  I am enjoying their company and being able to slowly reintroduce myself to real life and the responsibilities of being a wife and mommy again!  Enjoy today's pictures!

A beautiful day, so we spent a good portion of the afternoon on our screened in back porch..Grandma and Esther enjoyed a good nap together!

Okay, I have been on a complete Jell-O kick since Isaac's MRI in February and it has continued...Isaac has been officially sucked into the madness!!

Isaac just being cute!

Isaac loves the Princess Esther!  He is a wonderful big brother...Boys beware when she is old enough to date!!  Not sure who you have to fear more...her Daddy or her brother!

He loves to "Hold her hand"

Your eyes do not deceive you...Isaac has learned that putting his finger in her mouth will keep her from crying or will stop the crying once it starts!

It was a positively gorgeous day! Tante Sarah took Isaac outside to burn off some steam and had a ball playing in the mud, snow "mountain", tree house (aka Pirate Ship), swing, and who only knows what else!  Isaac had fun, though, and that's all that mattered!

Day 1, VEEG...

Here are just a lot pictures from today's adventure. We aren't going to be posting detailed medical information here, but the pictures are too cute not to share!!

Watching a movie with Tante Sarah

Playing with Grandma...namely teasing her by not sharing the snacks!

Sticker all the way from Delaware creates hours of playtime fun...Complete with Cinammon Toast Crunch train cars!!  He'd already eaten them by the time I thought to take a picture!

Lovin' herself some Daddy time!  She slept most of the day with barely a peep heard...What a wonderful baby sister she is...

Playing with Legos in bed with Tante Sarah...

Cole, Bert, and Amanda came for a visit tonight!! What a treat for everyone...Zeb even got some Bert and good coffee time!

There are perks to being the Pastor!!

Cole and Isaac created all kinds of adventures in the bed!  What good friends they are!

His recording box thingy is in the penguin backpack!

Don't Cry...

Isaac's super cute Big Brother moment this week!!

He wanted to "Hold Baby Esther", and we let him, since he is the big brother and all...Well, she started to cry and he leaned his head over and sweetly said, "Don't cry, I like you."

Here's another precious moment with Daddy!

Precious Moments...

Here are some highlights from moments with Daddy!!

And one of Sleeping Beauty in her Bean Bag bed!!

5 Days Old

Princess Esther Rose is 5 days old!!  She weighs in at 8lbs even today, which is 3 oz more than her birth weight! We are already a week ahead of "schedule" there, which is wonderful!

Isaac continues to adjust to life with a baby in the house and having to share the attentions of Mommy and Daddy.  He is still going to school and loves it once he is there, but is having some trouble with seperation from us, which is to be expected...

Otherwise, all is well..I'll get a new picture or two up tonight, but am trapped by a sleeping Ladybug right now!

There have been questions about what we are planning to "call" her, whether we are going to call her "Esther Rose" or just "Esther" or even if we are going to call her "Rose".  We will politely request that everyone at least call her Esther. We will probably go back and forth between Esther and Esther Rose, but that's just because I love middle names!  You are welcome to call her Esther Rose, too, if you like!

I think that's it for now...hard to type with a baby sleeping on one arm!  Have a blessed day!
